What happens with a report

  • Every report is reviewed. A violating link is disabled and answers 410, and in severe cases the account that created it is suspended.
  • On top of reports, every destination is automatically checked against Google Web Risk at creation and on every edit, and rescanned daily during its first 30 days.
  • A hashed identifier of the reporter's IP address, not the address itself, is kept with the report, to prevent flooding.
